Get Your Hike On

If you’ve never hiked the Old Forest in Overton Park, then now is your chance! The earth mamas of Citizens to Preserve Overton Park (CPOP) will host a nature walk on Saturday, April 19, from 3:00-4:40pm. Fearless leader Naomi Van Tol will take you through the nature trails in the northeast corner of the forest and answer questions regarding the Zoo’s Teton Clearcut Exhibit.

Meet next to the Rainbow Lake parking lot, at the Lick Creek bridge on Old Forest Lane. The event is free and open to the public. Children are welcome*.

*Park Friends has done a great job restoring the jogging path circling the Old Forest, but the trails we will be visiting are not stroller friendly. If your child(ren) cannot walk on their own, please bring a sling or other baby carrier.
