Forest group upset at Memphis Zoo for removing trees
We somehow missed this WMC-TV news story from March 5 about the reaction of Park Friends Inc. to the Teton Clearcut. Be sure to watch the video; the text summary is inaccurate.
I like the way the summary credits PFI for the graffiti! And Brian forgot to say, "It's been in the plan for twenty years..." I did enjoy watching him say, "We tried to have as little impact as possible" with a straight face!!

ReplyDeleteBy the time you get to the point where the media is asking you to justify a clearcut, you've got to know you're on pretty thin mud.
Been in the master plan for 20 years???? Funny, but I don't see a "Teton Trek" or anything like it in the master plan posted on the zoo web site.
