Comments of the Week!

These hilariously apt comments deserve a little hot front-page action.

From Warren:

"IT'S BEEN ON THE MASTER PLAN FOR TWENTY YEARS..."
-----------------------------
...Or to quote Douglas Adams:
"But Mr Dent, the plans have been available in the local planning office for the last nine month."
"Oh yes, well as soon as I heard I went straight round to see them, yesterday afternoon. You hadn't exactly gone out of your way to call attention to them had you? I mean like actually telling anybody or anything."
"But the plans were on display..."
"On display? I eventually had to go down to the cellar to find them."
"That's the display department."
"With a torch."
"Ah, well the lights had probably gone."
"So had the stairs."
"But look, you found the notice didn't you?"
"Yes," said Arthur, "yes I did. It was on display in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying Beware of the Leopard."

Oh, this is brilliant (rolls eyes). Nothing thrills me more than reading the smartass comments of fellow residents that have nothing better to do than slander local organizations. Seriously, do you think you are accomplishing anything more than making yourselves look bad? It isn't even entertaining-it's annoying. I'm all for being green, and trying to preserve the planet, but you know there is going to be growing pains no matter what. You can make a much greater impact by being respectful, and, eh hem, amiable. Talk about hypocrisy...

"growing pains"

what a cute little euphemism.

if you don't like the content here, anonymous, feel free to stop reading and keep your cowardly "advice" to yourself.

Was the zoo being amiable or respectful when it needlessly destroyed four acres of forest?

Here Anonymous embodies the hypocrisy illustrated by the Zoo's actions:
"I'm all for being green, and trying to preserve the planet, BUT..." (fill in the blank here [ie. BUT... it's been on the Master Plan for 20 years.])

Congratulations Anonymous (rolls eyes) for hitting the proverbial nail on the head.

The only Growing Pains the zoo appears to be experiencing these days is CPOP. It's shameful that the forest won't be experiencing any more growing pains in the 4-acres of annexed commons.

Go CPOP! Go Tigers!
